Description

Define and evolve the architecture of complex spatial data processing pipelines for map creation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Drive modernization of spatial data workflows to improve scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead complex geospatial analysis to detect change, identify systemic quality issues, and resolve high-impact data problems.
• Define validation frameworks, observability practices, and reliability standards to ensure production confidence and traceability.
• Guide solution design, promote reusable patterns, and influence engineering standards across geospatial data engineering.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI/ML opportunities to translate them into practical technical direction.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in GIS Data Engineering and Spatial Analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and querying.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, FME, and PostGIS.
• Experience with Cloud Services for scalable geospatial workloads.
• Strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of GitLab, CI/CD, and code review practices.
• Experience with distributed data processing patterns and automation strategies.
