Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale Hadoop and Hive environments, ensuring system stability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement SQL performance optimizations to improve query efficiency across Hive and Hadoop clusters.
• Manage memory allocation and resource distribution within Hadoop and Cloud environments.
• Handle queue allocation and workload distribution to balance system load.
• Execute system patch upgrades and maintenance tasks to keep infrastructure current.
• Monitor system health using standard monitoring tools to proactively address issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Hadoop administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Hive and Hadoop systems.
• Experience with Sqoop and Oozie.
• Knowledge of memory management and resource allocation.
• Experience managing queue distribution in Cloud or Hadoop environments.
• Experience performing system patch upgrades.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
