Description

You will lead the development of Java-based web applications and service-oriented architectures within an Agile environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Interpret application and component designs to develop solutions in accordance with technical specifications.
• Code, debug, test, and document all stages of feature development.
• Select technical options by reusing or reconfiguring existing components to optimize performance and maintenance.
• Review code for yourself and your peers to ensure adherence to engineering standards and coding templates.
• Validate results with user representatives and integrate the final solution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Java Web Development (Servlet/JSP) and the Spring Framework.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and MVC patterned applications.
• Experience with Unix/Linux Shell Scripting and XML processing.
• Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and document root causes of issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Angular (3+), RESTful WebServices, and MarkLogic or other NoSQL databases.
• DevOps experience and UI design experience for web applications.
