Description

Lead software engineering efforts focused on Progress 4GL development and application architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Progress 4GL versions 10, 11, and 12.
• Identify and resolve complex technical programming problems and design flaws.
• Manage transaction scoping and ensure data integrity within n-tier applications.
• Discuss proposed technical solutions with customers and recommend design alternatives.
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment to deliver software increments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional experience with Progress 4GL.
• Strong understanding of Progress Database concepts and RDBMS.
• Experience working with n-tier applications and application servers.
• Proficiency in transaction scoping and management.
• Practical experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and practices.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for technical consultation.
