Description

Lead the architectural design and development of distributed, large-scale Java applications in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure web applications using object-oriented design principles and patterns.
• Architect microservices and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement service-oriented architecture (SOA) and monolithic systems using SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Develop distributed applications using EJB specifications and J2EE application servers.
• Manage the full software development life cycle, from modeling to testing and deployment.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in Object Oriented Design, modeling, and programming.
• Expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and EJBs.
• Deep knowledge of J2EE design patterns including Singleton, MVC, DAO, Builder, and Session Facade.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PL/SQL, including stored procedures and triggers.
• Proficiency in web technologies: JavaScript, XML, XSLT, CSS, HTML, AJAX, JSP, and JSTL.
• Experience with J2EE frameworks such as JSF, Struts, and Servlets.
• Strong background in DevOps tools including Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and ANT scripts.
• Experience with application servers like IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, and JBoss.
• Competency in Linux and UNIX operating systems.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Groovy, TypeScript, Python, and GraphQL.
• Experience with React JS, Angular JS, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
