Description

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software components for an e-commerce platform.

Responsibilities

• Own Java and AWS design decisions, code standards, and technical code reviews.
• Analyze complex business requirements to generate technical specifications for software redesigns.
• Develop microservices and implement instrumentation to gather business-specific consumer usage metrics.
• Build and maintain continuous delivery pipelines using DevOps tools and concepts.
• Ensure all supported areas meet strict quality, security, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of programming or solutions lead experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, and Web Services (REST, SOAP).
• 5+ years of direct design and programming experience with Java, Spring, REST, and Microservices on Linux platforms.
• 4+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions to AWS (S3, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk).
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and Docker containers.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and developing Java REST services using Spring or Jersey.
• Experience with cloud data stores including S3, DynamoDB, and Amazon RDS.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, and Jira.
• Experience in data modeling and developing data matching algorithms.

Preferred Skills

• Additional expertise in Gradle, Netflix OSS, PostgreSQL, and Couchbase.

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
