Description

Own the design, development, and deployment of distributed Java backend systems and RESTful APIs for retail order management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance Java server applications using Java 13+ and Spring Boot.
• Architect distributed components, ensuring robust multi-threading and concurrency handling.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL databases.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and manage build/deployment pipelines with Maven/Gradle.
• Optimize application performance through profiling (jProbe, jMeter) and code reviews.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Deep expertise in Core Java (Java 13+), J2EE, and Spring Frameworks.
• Strong experience with Kafka, REST APIs, and Shell Scripting.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
• Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle, Nexus) and version control (GitHub).
• Knowledge of XML technologies and Unix environment development.
• Experience with AWS is highly desired.

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience in the retail domain, specifically with order management systems.
• Ability to work effectively in distributed Agile teams.
