Lead the design and implementation of Java-based applications and distributed systems in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Java-based applications aligned with business goals and user requirements.
• Develop, test, and debug software to resolve complex technical problems.
• Produce detailed design documentation and technical guides for users.
• Recommend improvements and changes to existing Java infrastructure.
• Manage application objectives and multimedia application development.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• 8+ years of experience with Kafka.
• 5+ years of experience with NoSQL DBA tasks.
• 5 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with C++.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Background in Scrum and Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Ability to deliver on multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Gitflow and Atlassian products including BitBucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience with CI tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or TFS.
