Lead the design and implementation of Java-based applications and multimedia systems in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Java applications aligned with business goals and user requirements.
• Develop, test, and debug software to resolve technical issues.
• Produce detailed design documentation and user assistance guides.
• Recommend improvements to existing Java infrastructure.
• Manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 12 to 15 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Kafka and NoSQL databases.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and microservices design.
• Experience working within Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Gitflow and Atlassian products including Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proficiency with CI tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
