Description

Lead the design and implementation of Java-based distributed systems in Reston, VA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Java applications aligned with business goals.
• Develop, test, and debug software to resolve complex technical problems.
• Produce detailed design documentation and technical guides.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing infrastructure.
• Manage application objectives and multimedia development tasks.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• 8+ years of experience with Kafka.
• 5+ years of experience with NoSQL DBA tasks.
• 5 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with C++.
• Proven track record building large-scale distributed systems.
• Background in Scrum and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Gitflow and Atlassian products (BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience with CI tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or TFS.
