Description

Lead backend engineering efforts focusing on distributed components and Java server applications in a Unix environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful APIs and distributed components.
• Develop Java server applications within Unix environments.
• Implement multi-threading and manage data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Maintain code quality through JUnit testing and software build tools.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Deep knowledge of Core Java (Java 8+).
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Frameworks.
• Proficiency with Kafka and Shell Scripting.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Competency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience using Maven, Nexus, or Gradle.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub.
• Knowledge of J2EE (EJBs, servlets, JSP, Struts) and XML technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of performance and profiling testing tools like jProbe, jMeter, or YourKit.
