Description

You will lead the technical direction for a large-scale insurance project involving multiple simultaneous workstreams.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design APIs and database schemas to support complex insurance workflows.
• Lead code reviews, system design, and architectural decision-making.
• Integrate third-party vendor services for claims processing and data retrieval.
• Develop APIs to facilitate data exchange and customer pricing services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements across multiple mini-projects.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot microservices.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as WCNP, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency with SQL Server or Cosmos DB.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of JUnit for testing.
• Experience implementing authentication protocols.
• Knowledge of messaging queues like Kafka.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience in the insurance or optical industry.
