Description

You will lead complex Java backend development, mentor junior engineers, and own the delivery of high-availability systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new functionality and applications on cross-functional teams.
• Drive application development focused on delivering business value while maintaining high software quality standards.
• Perform integration and customer acceptance testing with careful planning to ensure timely, quality results.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership for support groups.
• Communicate with end users and internal customers to direct debugging, testing, and application accuracy.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing software applications in Java.
• Strong expertise in Java 17 backend development.
• Experience building RESTful web services.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS services: IAM, Kinesis, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and KMS.
• Proficiency in SQL queries and Slick.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience with DevOps practices and architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
