Description

Lead technical development for Java-based microservices while remaining heavily hands-on with the codebase.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain production-grade code for 90% of your time.
• Lead the development and implementation of microservices and REST APIs.
• Manage data integration and messaging using Kafka and NoSQL databases.
• Coach and mentor other developers to improve team technical standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of recent experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience in a team lead role.
• Strong expertise in Microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases, specifically Cassandra or CockroachDB.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Skills

• Specific experience with CockroachDB.
