Description

Lead the design and delivery of microservices and API applications using Java and Spring. You will own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, from architecture to deployment, while guiding offshore teams and ensuring code quality through secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable microservices and web services using Java and Spring frameworks.
• Manage database interactions and schema design using Oracle.
• Deploy and maintain applications on Linux/UNIX environments.
• Direct offshore development teams and coordinate cross-functional delivery.
• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Elastic, Kibana, or Grafana.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on Java and Spring development.
• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering microservices and APIs.
• 10+ years of Oracle database experience.
• 5+ years of Linux/UNIX administration and scripting.
• 5+ years of Agile methodology experience.
• Experience with API Management tools (e.g., Apigee).
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and Pub/Sub patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying Java/Spring applications on cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with tracking tools like Jira and Confluence.
