Description

Lead the development of Java-based middle-tier applications for cloud and on-premise deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Java middle-tier applications for cloud and on-premise environments.
• Maintain distributable SDKs, APIs, and technical documentation for internal and external developers.
• Architect technical solutions within microservice and message-bus environments to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate applications across a diverse technology stack.
• Deliver complex product features with limited requirements in a self-directed manner.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of Java microservice ecosystems, specifically Spring Boot and Dropwizard.
• Experience with heterogeneous data storage and cache layers such as Postgres, Oracle, or Neo4j.
• Experience with enterprise search engines like Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene.
• Experience with message-based stream processing using Kafka, Kafka Streams, or Spark.
• Ability to apply complex graph and tree data structures to implement performant algorithms.
• Experience deploying systems using eventing infrastructure like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, SQL, and XML.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing GraphQL and federated GraphQL APIs.
• Experience validating, versioning, or processing large XML or JSON feeds.
