Description

Lead the development of microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices using Spring Boot, JPA, and JDK 11.
• Develop RESTful APIs following 12-factor app principles.
• Manage data persistence using DB2, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Deploy and orchestrate services using Docker, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Lambda, Step Functions, and EC2.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Core Java, including OOP, design patterns, inheritance, and composition.
• Proficiency in Java 1.8 features such as Streams, Lambda, and Functional Interfaces.
• Deep knowledge of Spring framework, including Core, Beans, MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Kubernetes, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, and EC2.
• Database expertise in DB2, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
