Description

You will lead the development and maintenance of Java-based web applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java web applications using JSP, Custom Tag Libraries, and JavaScript.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for DB2 and Oracle databases.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve application issues and ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, batch processing, and web services development.
• Apply Object-Oriented Design principles and Design Patterns (Singleton, Factory, DAO) within an MVC architecture.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Java development (Java 6.0, J2EE).
• Strong proficiency with Session EJBs, JDBC, and Java IDEs (RAD 7.5 or higher).
• Experience deploying and managing applications on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 8.0.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically DB2 and Oracle.
• Proven ability to develop batch jobs and web services.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WAS 8.0 on SuSE Linux 11 (VMware environment).
• Prior experience with Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES).
