Lead the development, enhancement, and deployment of GIAS interfaces and related systems in a complex enterprise environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all GIAS interface modifications, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery and technical leadership.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of GIAS-related enhancements, including Azure-based web services.
• Conduct code reviews and design validations to maintain quality, best practices, and scalability.
• Coordinate with server, DBA, infrastructure, and external teams (e.g., Ensono) for environment setup and HIPAA suite integration.
• Guide teams in data conversion, initial data population, and production deployment planning and execution.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, SQL, Hibernate, JDBC, OOP, Data Structures, Multithreading, JDK, JVM.
• Experience with Spring, JSP, Servlets, MVC architecture, HTML.
• Proficiency in JUnit, Mockito, Maven, and exception handling.
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse IDE.
• Strong experience in the Insurance domain, especially Policy Administration Systems.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with GIAS (Group Insurance Administration System).
• Knowledge of Liquibase scripts and database versioning.
