Lead software design, development, and requirements management for scalable API solutions in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop clean, efficient, and scalable Java/J2EE code.
• Lead technical processes and mentor team members in a people-oriented capacity.
• Implement secure API solutions including certificate management and various authentication methods.
• Build and manage web services using MongoDB as a backend.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and perform unit testing to ensure software quality.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Java software development.
• 2+ years of experience as a Lead Java Developer.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, and JDBC.
• Strong experience with web service development using RESTful and SOAP architectures.
• Proven ability to build applications on top of MongoDB.
• Experience onboarding web services onto APIM platforms, specifically IBM API Connect.
• Proficiency with JMS, XML, and XSLT.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented analysis and design patterns.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• AWS cloud experience.
• GraphQL background.
• Experience in the Health Care industry.
