Description

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable microservices within a self-governing engineering team.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy scalable microservices from conception to production.
• Participate in frequent design and code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Optimize system performance and scalability across cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product management and InfoSec teams on technical requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience building RESTful services with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database architectures.
• Deep knowledge of design patterns and coding best practices.
• Ability to write unit-testable code.
• Familiarity with encryption and information security best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in e-commerce or customer-facing environments with multiple daily production deployments.
• Background in Android or mobile application development.
