Description

You will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical direction of Java applications and system architecture.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and enforcing development best practices.
• Define and manage development workflows, coding standards, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with architects and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Oversee integration with front-end, database, and third-party systems while monitoring production performance.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience (Java 8+).
• 2–3 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Framework (Core, Boot, MVC, Security).
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle and version control via Git.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Strong database knowledge using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with ORM tools including Hibernate and JPA.
• Competency in unit testing, integration testing, and frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
