Description

Lead the development of new applications and maintain complex existing systems within a financial services context.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and conduct system research to identify key components for solution delivery.
• Develop new applications and perform unit and component testing in alignment with architecture standards.
• Rewrite and optimize complex SQL queries and maintain data model documentation.
• Own design decisions, process flows, and adherence to SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Designers to ensure components meet performance goals.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Java 8 or above.
• Proficiency with RDBMS and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming and Design.
• Experience building RESTful services and working with microservices architecture.
• Experience with messaging brokers.
• Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue JS.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Previous experience as a Java Developer within a financial institution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Securities Lending or Prime Brokerage business sectors.
• Experience working in a Cloud environment.
• Experience using JIRA and AutoSys.
