Lead Java Developer responsible for remediating legacy applications, ensuring system scalability, and managing technical team direction in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and architectural decisions to ensure system scalability and capacity.
• Direct team tasks and project schedules to ensure solutions meet technical specifications.
• Remediate applications using legacy technologies and address security vulnerabilities.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to define remediation and test strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT industry experience with 4 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong background in Java/J2EE development, including design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with WebLogic, Apache, and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in UNIX environments and UNIX Shell scripting.
• Experience with relational databases: Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, and load balancers.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools: Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
• Experience with information and application security: LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, and SSH.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
