Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Lead microservices implementation and event-driven architecture initiatives using Kafka.
• Perform code reviews, enforce best engineering practices, and improve testing and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions end-to-end.
• Mentor developers, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term fixes while following security and compliance standards.

Skills Required:

• 6-8 years of relevant Java development experience, including 2+ years in a lead role.
• Kafka event streaming and messaging integration experience.
• Java (including Java 8/21) and Spring Boot for building backend services.
• Microservices architecture experience with REST API development and distributed systems.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals including testing and deployment practices.

Good to Have:

• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Agile methodology experience (Scrum/Kanban practices).

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
