Description

You will lead the architecture and design of high-scale distributed systems using Java.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
• Design scalable microservices and event-driven architectures to drive performance and reliability.
• Lead modernization initiatives, including monolith decomposition and cloud migration.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence cross-team technical decisions regarding system design.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide consultative guidance on technical direction.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Deep expertise in Java 8/11/17, including Lambda expressions, Stream API, and concurrency.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven systems, specifically Kafka or equivalent.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases: Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience designing high-availability and fault-tolerant systems using circuit breakers and caching.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proven track record designing high-scale, always-on systems.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
