Description

You will lead the design, development, and operation of mission-critical trading systems, combining hands-on Java engineering with platform and DevOps practices.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead ~5 engineers while remaining deeply hands-on across the full software lifecycle.
• Build and automate CI/CD pipelines to support scalable delivery across many applications.
• Design and manage AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Refactor and modernize Java-based applications while mentoring team members on engineering quality.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong Java foundation.
• Heavy Python scripting expertise for automation and AI/agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and building scalable delivery pipelines.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Elasticsearch, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Ability to work across application and platform layers, including SQL/data layer understanding.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to front-end technologies like React.
• Knowledge of financial markets (Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Derivatives).
