Description

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level Java/J2EE Vaadin web applications. Own the quality of the codebase and drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of scalable Java/J2EE Vaadin web applications.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce strict code standards and refactoring practices.
• Write Java unit tests and own the overall quality of the produced code.
• Collaborate with clients to clarify requirements and provide comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Support critical production issues and provide thought leadership within the team.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in Java/J2EE and Vaadin web applications.
• Proficiency in Java Enterprise JDK, Maven, and Git.
• Strong front-end skills in HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL, RDBMS, and XML processing (SAX, StAX, XSLT).
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE.
• Working knowledge of Unix environments and continuous integration/deployment systems.
• Experience with object-oriented design, analysis, and SOA in distributed computing environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and TDD.
• Ability to work from the office in a hybrid model in Hyderabad.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka Streams, MongoDB, and Cobol Stored Procedures/Db2.
• Knowledge of GWT and jQuery.
