Description

You will lead the architectural design and implementation of enterprise-level Java/J2EE Vaadin web applications while owning code quality and driving technical decisions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable Java/J2EE Vaadin web applications.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
• Write Java unit tests and maintain high code quality through refactoring.
• Collaborate with clients to clarify requirements and produce technical design documentation.
• Support critical production issues and provide thought leadership within the team.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in Java/J2EE and Vaadin.
• Proficiency in Java Enterprise JDK, Maven, and Git.
• Strong front-end skills in HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL, RDBMS, and XML processing (SAX, StAX, XSLT).
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE.
• Working knowledge of Unix environments and continuous integration/deployment systems.
• Experience with object-oriented design, analysis, and SOA in distributed computing environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and TDD.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka Streams, MongoDB, and Cobol Stored Procedures/Db2.
• Knowledge of GWT and jQuery.
