Description

Lead the design and development of complex Guidewire Insurance Now applications. You will own the full development lifecycle, from high-level system specifications to low-level design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-level system specifications and convert them into detailed low-level design plans.
• Design and develop moderate to complex software solutions using Java, adhering to I/S standards and internal controls.
• Identify system dependencies, integration points, and the impact of proposed changes on supporting applications.
• Define and conduct unit and system integration testing; prepare documentation for design decisions and performance metrics.
• Lead development walkthroughs and collaborate with teams to verify system flow and data usage.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Required knowledge and experience with the Guidewire Insurance Now application.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL, including writing and optimizing stored procedures.
• Practical experience with XML and HTML for data integration and web applications.
• Proven ability to establish course of action and be accountable for results with minimal supervision.
• Experience in translating technical problems and resolutions for non-technical stakeholders.
