Description

Lead technical design, implementation, and deployment for client-facing web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document engineering software applications throughout the full SDLC.
• Participate in technical planning, requirements gathering, and estimation phases.
• Enforce software development best practices and technical processes within the project.
• Mentor team members of various experience levels and collaborate across organizational teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues by analyzing log files and error messages to find root causes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of application development experience.
• Expert-level Java development skills.
• Experience building modern Spring applications using Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• 2+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Experience building distributed, service-oriented, and microservice-style cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience with SOAP and RESTful service implementations.
• Experience integrating with Netflix Open Source Platform components including Eureka, Hystrix, and Ribbon.
• Practical knowledge of Twelve-Factor application principles and Domain Driven Design.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Proficiency working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering, or a comparable major.

Preferred Skills

• PCF certification or other Cloud platform certifications.
