Description

You will lead mainframe development projects and manage a team of developers and contractors.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including analysis, system design, programming, and implementation.
• Supervise a team of developers and contractors, including performance reviews, coaching, and budget management.
• Provide technical oversight by reviewing specifications, test plans, and ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Coordinate with business users, IT management, security, and third parties to align project priorities and timelines.
• Provide on-call support for production, SIT, and UAT environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with a strong programming background.
• 3 to 5 years of project management experience specifically overseeing mainframe projects.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Expertise in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL within a z/OS environment.
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience managing project documentation and tracking systems.

Preferred Skills

• Distributed programming skills.
• 4-year IT college degree.
