Description

You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of applications on IBM Mainframe technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS DB.
• Conduct peer reviews of code and technical documentation to ensure quality and standard adherence.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot application issues, and coordinate with support teams for resolution.
• Perform root-cause analysis on data-processing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support QA teams with application testing and validate fixes across multiple stages.
• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve application failures and performance issues.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL and JCL.
• Experience with DB2 and IMS DB.
• Working knowledge of MQ Series and Xpeditor.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot and Git for modern development workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
