Description

Lead the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of IBM mainframe applications while ensuring system performance and reliability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and maintain applications using IBM Mainframes, COBOL, IMS DB, DB2, and JCL.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with support teams to resolve software and hardware failures.
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve application failures and assist Quality Assurance teams in testing.
• Peer review code and technical documents to ensure quality and consistency across the team.
• Research and resolve business data processing issues, offering recommendations and leading in a virtual environment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with IBM Mainframes, COBOL, IMS DB, DB2, and JCL.
• Strong working knowledge of Spring Boot and Git for project code management.
• Experience with MQ Series and Xpeditor tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in unit, integration, and contract testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Ability to work independently, ask questions, and proactively pull opportunities for resolution.
• Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration and peer reviews.
