Description

You will lead the development and implementation of automated solutions within mainframe modernization and z/OS environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mainframe modernization projects and interactive utilities.
• Perform batch processing using REXX, TSO, ISPF, DB2, and batch JCL.
• Support existing solutions leveraging OPS/MVS and System Automation for z/OS.
• Conduct Proof of Concept exercises for potential COTS and homegrown applications.
• Collaborate with application teams to define requirements and build agreed-upon utilities.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of systems programming experience in a mainframe environment.
• Proficiency with REXX, TSO, ISPF, DB2, and batch JCL.
• Expertise with OPS/MVS and/or IBM System Automation for z/OS.
• Working knowledge of CA7, PanAPT, PanValet, IDZ, and Mainframe DevOps tools.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience with Visual Studio and ADDI.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Scripting experience with Shell, Python, and z/OS UNIX shell & OMVS commands.
• Experience with GIT, GitLab, and Ansible for Z.
