Description

You will provide mainframe systems programming support to stabilize current and future WebSphere environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and document WebSphere cells on PPF, iPPF, MISF, HAF, and IHAF environments.
• Configure WebSphere variables for cells and application servers.
• Set up LDAP registries, CICS connections, IBM HTTP servers, and plug-ins.
• Manage self-signed server certificates and TCP port definitions for application servers.
• Install and configure CA Introscope on applicable servers.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mainframe operating system software.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Mainframe Systems Engineer installing and maintaining systems software.
• 7+ years of experience providing WebSphere application programming support and troubleshooting.
• 7+ years of experience using IBM SMP/E for mainframe software installation and maintenance.
• 7+ years of experience in tuning and problem determination for production and migrated applications.
• 5+ years of experience using Introscope for WebSphere monitoring.
• Proficiency with SMP/E or IBM Installation Manager.
• Experience with scripting tools, preferably JYTHON.
• Ability to analyze, develop, plan, and perform mainframe software installation and maintenance.
• Ability to implement, test, and verify mainframe software.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Preferred Skills

• Prior Federal government experience.
