Description

You own the full product lifecycle for complex mechanical systems, from concept through manufacturing handoff and production support. You lead simulation, validation, and team mentoring while managing project budgets and stakeholder engagement.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead simulation-based design validation using FEA and CFD for load, stress, thermal, kinematic, motion, and vibration analysis.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, automation, and IoT teams to optimize system performance.
• Conduct reliability testing, FMEA, and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure design robustness and compliance.
• Mentor engineers, coordinate project budgets, and manage stakeholder engagement for ROI and timeline adherence.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, simulation, and product development.
• Expert proficiency in CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or CATIA.
• Strong expertise in FEA and CFD simulations using ANSYS, COMSOL, or OpenFOAM.
• Deep understanding of material science, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis (ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101).
• Experience with thermal management, airflow simulation, and cooling system optimization.
• Proficiency in motion control, automation, and IoT integration strategies.
• Strong analytical skills for complex system analysis and failure mode evaluation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading reliability testing and comprehensive FMEA processes.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques and automation systems.
