Description

You own the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the data communications network.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment.
• Diagnose complex network problems and communicate solutions to staff and end-users.
• Monitor network activity to ensure timely identification of operational issues.
• Plan and coordinate the placement, installation, and cabling of data communications equipment.
• Conduct research on network products, protocols, and standards for procurement.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex data communication systems.
• Ability to evaluate network infrastructure during site visits and new construction assessments.
• Knowledge of teleprocessing-network concepts and hardware alternatives.
• Experience documenting network problems clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with coordinating with data-communication vendors for issue resolution.
• Ability to drive a company or personal vehicle for site visits and emergencies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with new construction assessments and site evaluations.
