Description

You will lead API design and development while directing team integration efforts.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Integrate vendor APIs into a facade pattern to serve the front-end application.
• Oversee team integration efforts, including task coordination and mentoring junior developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement scalable, secure solutions.
• Optimize API performance and proactively troubleshoot technical challenges.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Extensive experience in API design patterns, security protocols, and scalability.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud platforms, specifically Azure Functions and API Manager.
• Proficiency with Open API or Swagger specifications.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing using Jest.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or ability to direct a development team.
• Experience with GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating APIs across multiple vendors in complex environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, GitHub Actions, and GitHub CoPilot.
• Healthcare industry experience.
