Description

You will design and deliver domain-driven microservices for customer-facing digital experiences using Node.js and TypeScript.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own greenfield builds from zero-to-production, coding approximately 70% of the time.
• Lead engineers by example and drive cross-team triage while keeping leadership informed.
• Design secure, resilient public APIs with strong authentication and authorization.
• Drive incident response and root cause analysis to implement lasting improvements.

Required Skills

• 8+ years backend engineering with 3+ years technical leadership on product teams.
• Expert-level Node.js and TypeScript with proven delivery of domain-driven microservices at scale.
• Strong grasp of DDD (entities, aggregates, bounded contexts) and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with microservice patterns such as saga, outbox, and circuit breaker.
• Deep understanding of authN/authZ (OAuth2/OIDC), secrets management, and TLS.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native deployment, CI/CD, and observability.
• Ability to simplify complex trade-offs and keep partners aligned.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with metrics, traces, logs, and SLOs in production environments.
• Proven success leading triage and driving technical improvements.
