Description

Lead the development and management of a backend engine built on Node.js and TypeScript. Own the full lifecycle of REST-based microservices, from architecture to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST-based microservices using Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
• Develop integration frameworks with backend APIs, implementing throttling and error management.
• Integrate APIs with an API gateway, handling authentication and authorization flows.
• Manage technical performance, scalability, and accessibility of the backend architecture.
• Deploy code with 85% unit test coverage and maintain Swagger documentation for frontend teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in Node.js, Express, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of the Node.js event loop and application model.
• Experience with Webpack and Babel.
• Hands-on experience with AWS deployment models and API Gateway.
• Experience integrating with SQL and non-SQL datastores.
• Ability to develop functional components and webhooks.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture and API development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB, Mongoose, or DynamoDB.
• Experience using AWS Lambda and RDS.
• Knowledge of React or the Atlas JavaScript framework.
