Description

You will lead database administration, operations, and production support for critical DB servers. You will manage a team of six or more members and drive technical strategy for high availability and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of database servers to ensure application availability.
• Execute database provisioning, de-provisioning, refresh, restore, patching, replication, and upgrades.
• Own backup and recovery management, high availability, and disaster recovery (HA/DR) processes.
• Lead performance tuning and troubleshoot complex database issues in cloud environments.
• Document technical solutions and provide training to operational teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in database administration and production support.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (required) or Azure.
• Expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control.
• Proficiency in automation using Ansible and Python.
• Proven experience managing database migrations and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of at least 6 people.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the financial domain.
• Knowledge of Sybase, SQL Server, Postgres, Cloudera, or Hadoop.
