Description

Lead database administration and migration efforts across Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle 19c environments on Linux, including server and database provisioning.
• Execute database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL using AWS tools.
• Handle PostgreSQL administration and RDS management on application and infrastructure layers.
• Own database performance tuning, backups, recoveries, and DataGuard configurations.
• Automate database deployments and infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and code-based workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep expertise in Oracle 19c on Linux.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and AWS RDS.
• Proficiency with AWS services: EC2, Redshift, SCT, DMS, S3, SNS, EBS, Lambda, Elastic DRS, AWS Backup, Storage Gateway, FSx, and CloudWatch.
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with Ansible, Git CI/CD pipelines, Liquibase, and Maven.
• Knowledge of GitLab and DevOps practices for database deployment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing database migrations using AWS SCT and DMS.
