Description

Lead performance and load testing strategy for complex systems using k6.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable, parameterized performance test scripts in JavaScript using k6 open-source and cloud versions.
• Simulate high-load, stress, and soak scenarios for APIs, web applications, and microservices.
• Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks across front-end, backend, and database layers.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Developers, and Architects to integrate performance objectives into CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide junior performance testers through code reviews and best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with k6 scripting, scenario modeling, and result interpretation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for writing k6 test scripts.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, or other APM tools.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, REST, WebSockets, and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed load testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating k6 tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with JMeter or Gatling.
• Experience with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
