Description

You will lead performance and load testing initiatives for complex distributed systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute performance testing strategies using k6.
• Develop reusable, parameterized test scripts in JavaScript.
• Simulate load, stress, and soak tests for APIs, web apps, and microservices.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks across UI, backend, and database layers.
• Mentor junior testers and establish scripting best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Performance Testing or Engineering.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with k6, including scripting and result interpretation.
• Advanced JavaScript skills for test automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Influxdb.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, REST, and WebSockets in microservices architectures.
• CI/CD integration experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP for distributed load testing.

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Experience mentoring teams and defining technical standards.
