Key Skills: Linux, VMware, Virtualization, Oracle Linux, RHEL, OVM, KVM, OLVM, ESX

Good to Have Skills: Solaris 11, Containers (K8S), VMware (vSAN, vROPs, NSX), IT Security experience, HSM knowledge (Entrust NShield / XC, Thales PayShield). Experience in high availability environments and ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Produce High Level Designs for Platform infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
• Maintain the technology roadmap for Platform and Unix Solutions in line with end of support dates.
• Work closely with cross functional teams including Delivery, Engineering and Operations to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure that new solutions conform to policies and standards and meet defined non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, availability, security and manageability.
• Identify, assess and communicate technical risks to the Business and Operations teams effectively.
• Evaluate products for project and future usage and take responsibility for trialling new technologies.
• Continually look at the market and competition to identify trends and new technologies that will benefit the company.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and provide thoughtful and sustainable solutions to complex problems.

Experience Required: Significant experience in a demanding, high availability environment with proven experience of delivering complex technical designs and architectures
