Description

Design, build, and optimize resilient enterprise data platforms across on-premises and hybrid multi-cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead database migrations and modernization projects from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Architect and engineer data platforms in multi-cloud hybrid environments.
• Implement automation for provisioning, patching, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Ensure database reliability, scalability, and security through established governance.
• Design and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of progressive experience in database engineering.
• 5+ years of expertise with PostgreSQL, Redis/Memory DB, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, MySQL, Snowflake, and MongoDB.
• 3+ years designing solutions in hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong background in cloud databases and services including AWS, Azure, OCP, OIC, and MongoDB Atlas.
• Advanced SQL and scripting skills in PowerShell and Unix shell.
• Experience with database migrations (cloud to on-premises and vice versa, both homogeneous and heterogeneous).
• Proficiency with schema design, relational/dimensional modeling, and IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with SQL tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, PGAdmin, DPA, snowsql, or MongoDB Compass.

Preferred Skills

• AWS or Azure certifications.
• Python and JSON scripting experience.
