Description

You will lead technical delivery and hands-on development within a Scala and Akka environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned tasks and technical deliverables within established schedules.
• Recommend and implement technical solutions to solve complex architectural problems.
• Work independently to design and develop microservices while adhering to program development processes.
• Identify and proactively report technical issues or blockers to the Tech Lead and management.
• Facilitate a supportive team environment by removing bureaucratic or resource barriers for team members.

Required Skills

• 4 to 8 years of recent hands-on development experience using Scala and the Akka framework.
• Deep understanding of Akka Streams and Event-driven Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing Microservices using gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
• Proficiency with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions).
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and unit testing.
• Practical use of Ansible, Terraform, Jira, and Confluence.
• Competency in scripting languages including Bash and Batch.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python and third-party application integration.
• Background in Financial Industry or Core Banking integration.
