Description

Lead the design and implementation of test and validation strategies across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement test strategies by collaborating with Application Development, PM, and Business Analysts.
• Write, execute, and debug automated test cases while troubleshooting complex alerting systems.
• Analyze test results to identify root causes and detect underlying patterns or problems.
• Drive improvements in processes, tools, and test methodologies from concept to implementation.
• Mentor engineers on technical aspects and work with Architecture teams to scale automation practices.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Java development and/or software test automation.
• Strong SDET design and development skills using Java.
• Expertise in computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Proven experience with API automation, integration, and unit testing.
• Hands-on experience with white and grey box testing and test design.
• Experience with alerting systems or frameworks such as Prometheus, Alertmanager, Netflix Atlas, Hawkular, Stagemonitor, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Experience with BigData and Hadoop technologies, specifically HBase, NoSQL, and Hive.
• Working knowledge of Agile development concepts.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Cloudwatch, AWS Kinesis, or Apache Kafka.
• Experience with JMS, JMX, or Rules Engines like Drools or Jess.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, or GIT.
