Description

Lead the design, implementation, and management of Cisco Firepower firewall systems and network security architectures within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC) platforms.
• Configure and maintain firewall rules, access control policies, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
• Optimize complex network architectures, including DMZs, VPNs, and segmentation, for performance and security.
• Lead and mentor a technical team while managing security projects from inception to completion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues using analytical problem-solving.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Cisco Firepower Firewalls.
• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC).
• Proficiency in configuring Cisco ASA, FTD, and FMC platforms.
• Deep understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, and ICMP.
• Experience with high availability and failover configurations for security appliances.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark, Splunk, or ELK stack.
• Ability to use Python or Bash for automating network tasks and configurations.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR.
